SOS Children’s Villages Philippines And Onocom Co., Ltd – Japan Unveil Official Launch Event For Long-term Partnership

Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City – On June 15, 2018, SOS Children’s Villages Philippines and Onocom Co., Ltd-Japan ­will hold a launch event to announce their long-term partnership at Hermann Gmeiner National Training Center (HGNTC), Lipa City, Batangas. 

To officially seal the 10 to 15-year partnership that will provide a training center called Onocco (Ono School), a Certificate of Commitment will be signed by SOS Children’s Villages Philippines National Director, Ms. Gemma Goliat, and President of Onocom, Mr. Tatsuro Ono. 

At this event, a Groundbreaking Ceremony for Onocco (Ono School) will be held. This school will cater to street children, abandoned and neglected children or children whose family cannot afford to give them education. This will initially aim to provide technical-vocational training school for children such as automotive, driving and welding that are essentially in demand jobs in Japan; and to produce more job opportunities in Japan for children who have lost parental care. It also includes curriculum for Nihongo class for children as requirement and primary access for job opportunity in Japan. 

Guests will do initial demolition of the old building where Onocco (Ono School) will be constructed.
