My SOS Journey: Gifts That Carry Love And Gratitude

Hi, I am Bill and this is my SOS journey. I have noticed the SOS Children’s Village facility, which I would sometimes pass by on my way home from work. Still, I didn’t know what it was about until I stopped and listened to the person operating the booth set up at Mactan Cebu International Airport. It was then that she confirmed my assumption of it being a charity place for children.

I think any human being with an experience of good family life would find a warm spot in his heart to help orphaned, neglected, or abandoned children, knowing what they may miss. Or if you don’t have a good family experience, you would also know how hard it is not to have one. So, extending help to SOS was an easy decision.

When we are blessed, it becomes our responsibility to share our blessings.

When I am given a gift, it only becomes a true gift when I give it away.

It may not be in the same form, but it would carry the same energy, the energy of love and gratitude.

To the SOS mothers and SOS workers, thank you for bringing our donations to fruition.

Thank you for being the hands and feet behind our donations.

Thank you for giving the children a hug that we can’t give physically.

Thank you for being there for the children.

To the SOS children, please know that some people don’t need to be there physically with you to love you and to care for you.

Remember that you have lots of uncles and aunties all over the Philippines and worldwide who love you and care for you.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share and to care.
