SOS Social Worker: Abandoned And Neglected Children Have No One To Keep Them Safe From COVID-19


Social workers like Auntie Ria help individuals cope with difficult life challenges and empower them to make positive change happen. For 11 years now, she’s been working as the Head Social Worker of SOS Children’s Village Manila, providing guidance and support to many formerly abandoned and neglected children.

During difficult times like this, when the country is battling the health crisis brought by COVID-19, Auntie Ria asks that we remember the welfare of about 2 million abandoned and neglected Filipino children too. Homeless and with poor health, what will happen to these children? In this video, Auntie Ria presses the urgency to help these children amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
